We have moved!! – 23 November 2011

We are pleased to annouce that ADI are now situtated in the world heritage site of Salts Mill.  Surrounded by other great companies such as Pace and The Hockney Gallery, we are greatly looking forward welcoming the new year in our new location. ADI present to DALLAS – 10 November 2011 – Manchester

On Thusday 10th November John Eaglesham, Chief Executive of ADI, presented at the DALLAS Community Workshop in Manchester on behalf of the I-Focus team (Microsoft, Tunstall, Serco and KPMG). The event provided an opportunity for the dallas seed communities to share their visions for dallas with the external community. It also provided an opportunity for external providers (e.g. those from the partnership pool and beyond) to connect with the dallas community seeds.

ADI Adventure Challenge – 10 September 2011 – Coniston

Team ADI

We are very pleased to announce six of our determined employees have raised over £1500 towards a fund raising target of £2500, by completing the Coniston Adventure Challenge this weekend. All Money raised will be donated to Guide Dogs for the Blind.

The Coniston Adventure Challenge is a 32km race, consisting of a 10km hike up the famous ‘old man of Coniston’, a 20km mountain bike route through the Grizedale Forest and finally a kayak stretch of 2km over Coniston Water. 45 teams in all competed the challenge and the ADI team finished 18th in 5hours and 40minutes, beating another local team from Bradford and Bingley.

John Eaglesham, our CEO who was part of the team said “We all pulled together as a team and enjoyed every part of the challenge despite the extreme weather conditions. We are very proud to have completed the challenge for such a well deserving charity.”

Free installation of telecare equipment – 19 July 2011

To encourage councils to take up telecare, one provider is installing the equipment for free for a share of the savings made.

ALIP 3 MALT – 19 June 2011

ADI is pleased to be working with the Universities of Sheffield and Leeds, and a high-profile panel of industry experts,  on an exciting new research project designed to help unlock the potential of the Assitive Living services industry to transform the way people experience health and care services.  Called “Mainstreaming Assistive Living Technologies”, it will be working with a number of deployments in the Yorkshire area.

UK Life Science – 18 June 2011

ADI, in partnership with Red Embedded, Airedale NHS FT and BTL have just completed a highly successful project to deliver remote clinical consultations from a West Yorkshire hospital via a TV-based videophone to patients in their own homes. ADI are now working on a new project with a number of partners, including O2, Looking Local, and Northumbria University, to develop an open-access technology platform for Assisted Living services. Future Internet – 17 June 2011

The Future Internet is coming ! What do we mean by this, what are the key issues and obstacles, and what are the implications and opportunities for industry? ADI has been working with the UK Future Internet Strategy Group (UK FISG) , and has contributed to their new Future Internet Report, which will advise government policymakers and industry on these key questions.

E-Band Modem – 17 June 2011

Mobile data traffic usage is increasing exploding, driven by accelerating uptake of smartphones, mobile computing, and rich media applications. This is starting to put huge pressure on the telecoms backhaul infrastructure. Filtronic, a leading supplier of wireless point-to-point and backhaul technology, has developed a ground-breaking new product to address this market, providing Gigabit data rates  in the mostly un-exploited Extremely High Frequency band (E-band). ADI has developed key subsystems within this product, including an FPGA-based Gigabit modem, and is partnering with  Filtronic to bring this product to market.
