ADI is offering our industrial partners the chance to benefit from projects they would not be able to do otherwise, for example:-

• Projects that are seen as being too long-term or high-risk to be attempted using scarce in-house resource.

• Projects that are currently background R&D ideas and need a push to market.

• Projects that are identified as commercial opportunities a result of ADI’s cross-industry vision - ways of realizing the value of the “hidden IP” in the region for the benefit of local companies.

• Projects that can be accelerated or made commercially viable by ADI’s resources, technology, platforms, tools and methodologies.

• Projects that are mostly run in-house, but need the injection of a particular skill or resource that ADI can provide.

This enables our partners to increase their competitiveness by identifying and incorporating key technologies into their products.

Universities

ADI is offering the universities in the region a new channel into local industry for post grads, graduates and ideas – a channel that is managed for the long-term benefit of the region. ADI is providing a “one-stop shop” for students and staff in the engineering, technology and business faculties who want to explore employment, research and commercial opportunities. ADI is committed to engaging with universities and research establishments in the region as partners and collaborators, for example:-

• Student placement(s) on industry projects.

• Joint development projects (industry based).

• ADI / University lead projects.

As well as employing a permanent, full time staff of specialist R&D engineers, the collaborative partnerships formed with the region's universities will allow ADI to include research students as members our strategic development teams; contributing to our comprehensive range of R&D services through our Technology and Solutions Centres.
